The Opening of the Hand
The Opening of the Hand explores the principles and revelation of giving and receiving.
God opens his hands to us if we open our hands to him.
The conflict in the play is between the characters of Peter and Jerome. Jerome despises Peter. Jerome ends up being the lame man who asks for alms at the gate just outside of the temple and Peter says, silver and gold have I none, but such as I have, give I thee, in the name of Jesus…rise up and walk.
There are many intense moments of rage, action and even comedy.
